Austin loved motorcycles from a very early age and wanted one before he could even ride a bicycle. He received his first dirt bike (Suzuki JR50) as a birthday present when he was in the 1st grade. He started racing MX right away and loved it! He began attending and serving at FCA MX Oklahoma camps the minute they started.
Camp was something Austin looked forward to every year and he encouraged all of his MX race friends to attend. Austin started out as a camper and then became a huddle leader in high school. We wanted to create a scholarship program that would honor his memory and be impactful to a community that was a huge part of his life. We know that Austin would be happy that we are honoring his life in this way and that is how the FCA MX/Offroad Austin Reid Memorial Scholarship began.
